Youth Aspiring to Succeed
Dayna Adams has been a member of the group, let’s say, before birth. Parents Monica and Wesley Adams were determined that their third child would group up knowing her culture. Dayna was born August 20th, 1996, and that year at our Annual Family Christmas Party, she instantly became our baby Jesus for the Christmas pageant.
Dayna may not remember, but she carried off that part well and continued to grow and at the age of four became the youngest member ever of the dance group. As time went on, not a strong a dancer as the older one, Dayna was able to recall dance steps during practice and was able to point out to the older ones when they were not following the choreographer’s instructions. Today, Dayna is still an aspiring dancer in the group. Tiffany Williams has been a long standing and vital member of the group. She is very dedicated and is always willing to show support to the younger ones. At this stage, Tiffany is preparing for University in the not too distant future. Her aim is to be accepted at one of the major Universities. With her hectic after school events, she continues to show support and is always willing to take the challenge of a learning a new dance. Dejay Williams joined the group in 2007 and continues to be a great asset to the dancers. We are proud to have her in the group, even with her hectic after school activities. Dejay continues to excel in her practice and dance rehearsals. Winston Higgins continues to show progress in his drumming abilities and has often taken on the role of teacher to the younger ones. Keep up the good work Winston! Jordan Alleyne joined the drumming ensemble in 2006 and continues to be a force to be reckoned with. Do not mistake his quiet demur for not listening. He takes his practice very serious and continues to show progress. He is very active in the community. Isaiah Hilton is the newest member to join the group. Isaiah has always been an observer and sometimes playmate. As recent as 2009, he took the leap and became the youngest member of the drumming team. Welcome Isaiah! | Past Members
